ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: GEORGIA O'KEEFFE
Georgia O'Keeffe's home and studio in Abiquiu is a beautiful blend of modernism and postmodernism. The property was built in 1796 by the Catholic Diocese. When O'Keeffe purchased the home in 1945, she kept the original structure in tact and added only a few elements of modern convenience. O'Keeffe used furniture sparsely, favoring pieces by Herman Miller, Eero Saarinen, and Charles Eames.
