LITTLE BIG MAN

Ever Since You Told Me That You Love Me (I'm a Nut). Ever Since You Told Me That You Love Me (I'm a Nut).
One of the oddest birds of the 60’s (or any decade for that matter) was a fellow named Herbert Khaury. You’re more likely to know him under his assumed artist name, Tiny Tim. Hid first appearance was in, the godfather of camp Jack Smith’s, film Normal Love in 1963, but it was an appearance on Laugh-In 5 years later that would propel him to a household name, albeit for a moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSEAa4Xr0-w Tiny Tim and his ukulele went on to record albums, the first of which is considered an outsider classic, featuring ”hits” such as, (his breakthrough) Tip Toe Through the Tulips, Ever Since You Told Me That You Love Me (I’m a Nut), and this quirky number, here performed at an Australian tv special. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c71RCAyLS1M And while his career dwindled and all but died after the novelty had worn off, and the 70’s had begun, his artistry is still singular in nature, and before he died, on stage, playing Tiptoe Through the Tulips in 1996, he performed with bands like Camper Van Beethoven, and had a record released through David Tibet of Current 93. And maybe, just maybe, Tiny Tim opened the door for the warble of artists like Antony Hegarty, of Antony and the Johnsons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcSlcNfThUA
