BEFORE + AFTER - FOLKE OHLSSON HIGHBACK LOUNGE

This is one of our favorite restorations we've done in a while! This gorgeous Folke Ohlsson lounge chair came to us from its original owners, who had it shipped to their California home from Denmark in the early 1960's. They had kept the chair in amazing original shape, as there were almost no stains or tears in the fabric, but unfortunately the foam underneath has disintegrated, so it was time for a complete overhaul. We decided to go with a chartreuse wool textile with orange overtones to an homage to the original color.

BEFORE: The original orange wool was well kept but the foam underneath (like most 50+ year old chairs) had turned to dust.

AFTER: A few layers of fresh foam and a couple yards of Danish wool gives this piece a new lease on life.
