Frequently Asked Questions
How do the triangular expanding leaves operate on this oak dining table?
Each leaf folds out flat on recessed brass hinges, locking into place along the outer edges to turn the square four-person card table into a spacious six-person hexagonal top.
What seating capacity does this expanding table offer?
When closed, the compact square footprint comfortably seats four people, while extending the three triangular leaves expands seating to accommodate up to six guests.
How does oak compare to teak in vintage Scandinavian furniture design?
Oak offers a lighter blonde to honey tone with prominent grain texture, offering a brighter, more natural aesthetic compared to the deeper reddish-brown tones typical of vintage teak.
How should I clean and maintain the pale oak surface?
Wipe the surface with a damp microfiber cloth after meals, avoid using harsh household chemical sprays, and apply a light coat of natural furniture oil annually to protect the wood grain.
