Philips

Philips was founded in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 1891 and grew into one of Europe's largest electronics companies. In the 1950s and 60s its radios, televisions and record players were often built into handsome teak cabinets made in Denmark and elsewhere in Scandinavia, so they could sit in a modern living room like any other piece of furniture.
