Ole Wanscher
Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) was a Danish architect and furniture designer, and a student of Kaare Klint. He drew on historical furniture, from Egyptian stools to English Georgian chairs, refining them into elegant modern forms such as the Colonial chair. Carl Hansen & Søn produces his designs today, and his vintage pieces for P. Jeppesen and France & Søn are highly collectible.
