Before it became a global brand, IKEA sold Scandinavian modern furniture in teak and oak from its home in Älmhult, Sweden. Its 1950s and 60s pieces by designers such as Gillis Lundgren, Bengt Ruda and Arne Wahl Iversen are now collected in their own right.
