Bruno Mathsson
Bruno Mathsson (1907-1988) was one of Sweden's most important modern designers. Trained in his father's workshop in Värnamo, he developed laminated bentwood chairs shaped to the human body, including the Eva and Pernilla lounge chairs, and later worked with DUX and with Piet Hein on the superellipse table. His work defined the comfortable, organic side of Swedish modernism.
