Hans J. Wegner designed the CH29P Sawbuck Chair in 1952. His inspiration was drawn from the sawbucks and saw horses used by carpenters and woodcutters. The seat is significantly wider at the front, and – along with the very curved back –ingeniously enhances comfort in various sitting positions while providing a stylish expression.
